There’s something inherently sad about a Christmas tree discarded on the side of the road. There’s also some exciting about about Mulchfest, NY Parks Dept’s mass tree collection and recycling weekend event! When I dropped off our douglas fir, it was already in the company of 200 soon to be mulched tannenbaums.
